CHEERS TO WEEKENDS!
i had a pretty good one, cause i did have a good (enough) sleep. and thats usually it that makes me feel like weekends. heh.. to be able to sleep & not be woken up by alarm clock.

anyway!


FRIDAY - SATURDAY
on friday it was my company's BBQ gathering cum chalet.

its was more fun den i expected it to be. cause u knw, the impression of my collegues is that they are pretty individualistic, cold & not-so-friendly. but im so glad things turned pretty fun.


aft work, glenn, yang & myself headed home to shower. went to buy renald's apple strudel near by place den quickly hop onto a cab to pick Aliah up frm her place @ tampines. arrived pretty late at the chalet! ard 8pm? alot of them went straight aft work thats why when we arrived, some have already left while most left by 10 plus 11..





though i didnt managed to get to knw them much.. but the atmosphere was relaxing & i felt comfortable. i think the only person i got to talk more to was Victor (my sales manager) as what he said, he ask me to get ready to be challenged. he made me drink.


i got a lil tipsy. felt so dissy & took my power nap and felt much better aft tt! hehz.


i thought that they will all stay ard till like aft midnight or stayover till the next morning since its a chalet and whats more, they are all adults, no curfew isn't it! but well, they were all gone & guess what, me and yang heng were left in the chalet (Aliah & Feny who left at midnight)


actually before the day came, me and yang have already decided to stay out the night.. so we actually made plans to meet amy.


ok, now you guys will be wondering how come yang heng knws amy! they knw each other through me of course. and though they dunno each well, they knw quite abit abt each other, frm me of course! :p and yang have been msging her quite abit.. tts why we're all friends nw! :D its nice isn't it.


ok anyway, back to updates, BUT, amy said that we'll no longer be meeting cos i wasnt able to confirm the time we gonna leave the chalet. thats why we called off the meeting.


little did i knw, she msged mich mich to ask for glenn's number & got the details of our chalet. she popped by to give a surprise aft dinner! thats so-amy right! she always like to scare ppl like this.. haha!


after Aliah & Feny left, Huiyee came down to join us all too.



till today im still so amused!
its supposed to be a company chalet and it ended with me and yang heng left, amy & huiyee joining us. i NEVER did imagine 4 of us together chatting the night away.. whats more.. in a chalet!!! haha!

we seriously had no plans to stayover.. cos the chalet wasn't comfy at all.
didn't have much stuff to do either..


at 3am, while amy decides to head home to complete for work,
me and yang headed down to my usual bunk-in place - HUIYEE'S PLACE! haha~
YES! with yang.




and thats 4 of us before leaving the chalet @ downtown east.

i thought its so damn weird for me and yang to be going to huiyee's place. and im afraid he wld find it bored or what..

i sorta keep asking/hinting yang to head home.. but he said he didnt have the keys to get into his house & also he sounded pretty interested in heading to huiyee's place..


and so we did! and guess what? there wasn't any cold slience. we talked and chatted (mostly it was the 2 of them holding the conversation) i was like preparing myself to bed.. tucking myself under the comforter but the dawn ended when both of them fell asleep before me.. huiyee sleeping in a cuddled up position and yang snoring away! DAMN LOUDLY. wahaha!





the good company splitted in the morning of saturaday after having pasta for breaky esp made by Jonaly the nanny~


SUNDAY
we decided to go temple to pray/visit ah gong.
together with Da Gu's family, we headed down to the temple where ah gong is resting.. at river valley road.


visiting the temple today, it fill me with much emotions at some of the sights i captured

this part of the temple is actually reserved for prayers to those deceased and ancestors' tablets. the front part are actually the deceased photos place one aft another as u walk down the aisle..come to think of it, it can be quite eerie, cos as u walk upon the aisle, u see alot of photos of the dead "looking" at you.


some might feel frozen at their feets & not willing to walk forward or to look at any of the photos.. im a little different, i wld purposely look & really give a thorough look at those photos. im more kaypo thats why!


thoughts like this flow my mind in different times..
"how were their lives like when they were alive?"
"how did they die?"

and then, i saw this photo of a baby boy.. not really a baby but more of a toddler.
it felt this pierce through my heart. it ached a little.. i thought of his parents, his siblings (if any) his grandparents.. i think it muz have been terrible for them. all the emotions. im reminded of the pain of losing someone dear to you. whats more, he's so young. the feeling got stronger got i saw Chelsea in my hands..



*kissed on Chels' forehead* and i whispered a slient prayer for the boy.


walking down further, i caught sight of this young man in army uniform and commando hat (i think theres a technical term for it) a man who's prolly 1 or 2 yrs older than us. he shldnt belong in that string of photos of the older people whom have definitely been through good yrs of life. he shld be like any young people.. full of hopes and dreams.


at that moment of flowing thoughts, i saw his parents stepping forward. his dad looks pretty stern on 1st impression. mom looks exceptionally haggard.. they looked at his photo with this parents-son-love surfacing their eyes.. so lovingly.. and you cld feel the pain coming through. while the mom stepped away to cry her heart out.. the dad stood there, motionlessly, but im very sure millions of memories of his dearest son is folding his mind with much question marks too.


i stepped closer. i saw streams of tears tracing down the dad's cheeks.. his stern face appeared so weak instantly. i felt for them. i really did.. its really not easy.


the next scene struck me the most.
while the dad stepped away, a young lady came forward, stretching her hands out to touch the picture of the deceased young man.. with much tears flowing.. why hand grasping her left chest. a strong feeling tells me its his girlfriend.


need i say more? im not attached, ive never been, but i think i knw how its gonna feel like. a feeling no one wld ever wanna go through. at least his parents spent at least 2 decades with him. his girlfriend? they might have dreams to build together, they might have a future to look into. but not nw.. when all she sees is his picture & all the memories he left behind.


i'll always remind myself of what i saw today.
i'll always remember how important it is to love and cherish your love ones.

its a very commonly said phrase "to cherish before its too late" but i guess.. u cannot not admit that its so true and we gotta really live with it resounding in our minds.


*breathes hard* i say a slient prayer to bless the families who're going through a though period coping deaths of their deeply loved ones.


anyway, going on on a lighter note :)

headed down to millenia walk for lunch for Reku Zen Japanese Restaurant..

was a light and healthy one. :( no photos! was too hungry & cos there were kids ard so when the food lands on the table, its gone within the next 2 secs.. before i cld on my cam and get it loaded.

and den, it was the kids' happiest moment cause we went down to BUILD-A-BEAR WORKSHOP @ SUNTEC!


oh man this is a fun for both adults & kids. for those who haven't heard of it, its actually a place for me to build your own bear (like the title says) in a way, u choose ur own bear, be it doggie, penguine, rabbit or anything else..

den, you will feed in the cotton yourself with the help of their staff.

its cute! they actually ask me if u want a soft or hard bear.. den they will feed in the amt of cotton accordingly.. haha im amazed by the whole concept seriously. for the 2 hours we spent there.. i truly enjoyed myself like a kid! i wished i get to do my own one man..

before they sew up the bear, they will ask the kid to hold this heart (in the heart container Chels' hand is on) ask them to make a wish & den stuff it into the bear.. and whats more! theres a bar code that goes right in there too.. so if you gonna lose that bear, they can actually track down who that bear belongs too. BUT, as if any wld return this expensive and CUTE bear!

after that they will get to choose all the clothes, accessories to put onto their bear. man. this took the 3 princess abt 2 hours!!! fitting on and taking off.. it was even harder to shop for their own clothes.. haha. i took my time to look ard the place. wasn't allowed to take photos, so pardon me for the lil photos being posted..

THEY HAVE SO MUCH VARIETY! shoes! stroller! dresses! everything that any human cld possibly need, they have it for the bears. haha, check it out at Suntec or Vivo peeps! its really interesting. i wld consider going for one someday, anyone wanna relive childhood days?

the whole BUILD-A-BEAR thingy ended with the printing of the birth cert of the bear and den nicely packed into this cupboard box.

the 3 that they built themselves! the middle penguine is named HAPPY FEET by Chels.pardon her for the very boyish outfit.. the penguin was simply too fat to fit into any princesses' dresses..

hahaha

and thats cutie trying a take a photo of her Happy Feet. Don't play play, she can really take photo ok! with Sony Cybershot somemore!
